Dear Students, Parents, and Stakeholders of Government Degree College Beerwah,
It is my privilege to be a part of this vibrant and dynamic institution and to have the opportunity to contribute to its growth and development. Education is the cornerstone of any society, and I am committed to ensuring that our college provides the best possible learning experience to our students.
The New Education Policy (NEP) 2020 represents a major milestone in the history of education in India, and I am proud to announce that our college is fully aligned with its goals and objectives. The NEP focuses on providing holistic, multidisciplinary education that prepares students for the challenges of the 21st century. Our college is dedicated to fostering critical thinking, creativity, and a global outlook among our students, and we are committed to equal access to quality education for all.
In addition to our commitment to NEP-2020, our college has been working hard to upgrade and modernize its infrastructure. We have procured a college bus, installed digital boards, and built three new classroom huts. Work on the library block, parking, and multipurpose hall is also underway. We have also successfully offered two skill courses under the aegis of the Skill Development Council of India, and have been allotted an IGNOU study center and NCC wing (both boys and girls wing).
I would like to thank the faculty, ministerial staff, College local fund staff, and civil society for their unwavering support and commitment to our college. I am confident that together, we will ensure that our students receive a world-class education that prepares them for the challenges of the future.
I look forward to working with all of you to make Government Degree College Beerwah a leader in education, both in Jammu and Kashmir and beyond
Prof Syed Iffat Ara
